Churchyard clearance for All Souls' Day

It was good to be in St Peter's churchyard, today!   It is an ancient tradition to spend some time 'caring for the graves' on All Souls' Day and so fortuitous that a band of volunteers was able to gather to work together in clearance work, our sixth (and final) such day of this year.
During the course of this year - under the skilful leadership of Dan Hall - we have witnessed a real transformation, from wild overgrowth to a serviceable space.  Over the coming year, we hope to involve Forest School and many others in our community in next steps in community gardening, 'taking care' projects, and some other enterprises in local history and ecology.
Oh, and lighting the fire to burn all our wood from the year was very satisfying, too!
